FAQ
While the components of the fire table are durable and weather resistant, we still recommend using a soft cover and storing the product somewhere dry and away from the harsh weather conditions to ensure you get the maximum life out of your product.
Should it rain during operation, please shut off the gas and wait for the appliance to dry before using it again. Although your fire table will remain safe, it may become difficult to light by means of the auto-ignition feature and the flame appearance may be affected when wet. Not to worry - once the igniter and rocks have dried, the fire table will work as per usual!
We also recommend wiping the glass dry with a cloth to ensure hard-to-remove water stains do not form, especially if the table is left to dry in the sun.
As per the fire table’s CSA requirements, we must recommend the appliance be used on a non-combustible surface as a safety precaution.
Our appliances are designed to withstand sustained winds up to 31 mph (50 km/h) as per the CSA testing requirements. We recommend using the wind guard during breezy conditions to help contain the flame.
Besides the addition of the compartment divider and upgrade to the burner in the 403 Fire Table, these models are very similar. Both fire tables are aesthetically the same but differ in BTU output – the 403 Fire Table carries a BTU output of 50,000 on the highest flame setting while the 401 Fire Table carries a maximum BTU output of 35,000. Please note, we no longer carry the model 401.
There’s nothing better than cozying up by the fire when the temperatures drop. Our fire tables are a great way to add a touch of elegance to your outdoor area and are CSA Approved as a decorative appliance. As heat tends to rise, the heat radius of the appliance is nominal and may not be ideal for use as the main heat source. Please note, the heat radius will vary depending on environmental factors.
We're unable to speak to the safety or functionality of the appliance with the use of rocks that have not been tested by us, and they would be used at one's own discretion.
If you’re looking to add a pop of colour to your fire table, feel free to check out our variations of glass rocks that are certified for use with the Outland Living Fire Tables below.

When used in high heat environments, stainless steel will naturally discolour. This discolouration is normal and is often called “heat tint.” Not to worry – it is not harmful and will not damage the burner, but if you wish to remove it you can use Barkeeper's Friend and a non-abrasive pad.
A little bit of soot production is normal and may be visible on the rocks right after operation. Soot is a natural by-product of the rich air/fuel mixture required to create Outland Living's signature decorative orange-yellow flame – please send us an image of your rocks at info@outlandliving if you have concerns about the amount of soot production.
While we love a good roasted marshmallow, our fire tables are best used to add a touch of elegance to your outdoor area. The Outland Living Fire Tables are CSA approved under the 'Decorative Appliance' category and for this reason, we are unable to condone the use of this product for cooking purposes.
Our propane fire pits have been tested and certified with a 20lb propane cylinder. We do not recommend using a cylinder smaller than 15lbs to ensure the appliance performs at its optimal level. To be deemed safe, the appliance's factory hose must be connected directly to the cylinder, without adapters or extensions, and the leak test must be negative.
The Helios burner is a new design that resembles an 'X' shape while our standard burners are round or square. The design of the Helios burner helps create a more natural and fuller-looking flame. Please note, it does not increase the BTU output or propane usage. All of our firebowls carry a maximum BTU output of 58,000.

Our firebowls are CSA approved for use with the included natural lava rocks. We can't speak to the safety or functionality of the appliance if used with glass rocks or ceramic logs, and they would be used at one's own discretion.
The supplied natural lava rocks are very porous and help create a vibrant flame while glass/ceramic material can suffocate the flame.
As per the fire pit's CSA requirements, we must recommend the appliance be used on a non-combustible surface as a safety precaution.

Yes, it is normal to hear a slight hissing sound after the conversion. Since Natural Gas has less than half the energy as propane by volume, more gas needs to be used to achieve the same heat output - this will cause a slight hissing sound during operation and it will be more noticeable on the lowest flame setting.
Our appliances are designed and certified for use with the included components. We do not recommend making any modifications in order to attach your appliance to a different fuel source beyond what it is designed for. Any modifications would be done at one's own discretion and we urge you to contact a professional gas fitter, propane technician, or RV technician for assistance.
We cannot recommend placing the fire pit inside of a fixture due to the minimum clearances that we must adhere to. The appliance is intended to be used as-is with 36" of free space from the sides.
A full 20lb cylinder will allow for approximately 7.5-11 hours of burn time, depending on the flame setting.
We have not yet manufactured accessories for the stove. However, it is designed to accommodate accessories up to 36 inches long and 16 inches wide.
The grill top area is 36.9" L x 15.4" W and there will be a slight overhang with 16" deep griddles/accessories. Please note, the slight overhang will not impact the functionality of the stove.
Yes, BBQ grilling using a cast iron, stainless steel, or seasoned steel griddle is highly recommended and produces fantastic results!
The Summerland Stove is a portable three-burner cooking range which differs from a grill. This means that cooking appliances such as griddles, pots, and pans must be used in order to cook on the stovetop.
The side lids can hold up to 60 lbs each.
Each burner can reach 30,000 BTUs on the highest setting. Collectively, the stove can reach a maximum BTU output of 90,000.
The stove is not certified as a turkey fryer. Frying bacon, eggs, fish, etc. are all fine!
Yes, the Summerland Stove is safe to use on grass as there is a heat shield on its underside which prevents anything below from getting hot enough to ignite. However, there must be a 10 ft clearance on all sides when in use. The surface it is being used on must also be relatively level in order to operate safely.
Yes, the appliance can be used on a tabletop as long as the surface is level, stable, and non-combustible. Please note, the appliance cannot be used in an enclosed space and is intended for outdoor use only.

The air-fuel adjustment lever allows more or less oxygen in to the air-fuel mixture. If your flame is too yellow this means there is not enough oxygen and there is an incomplete combustion process occurring. In this case, you should manually adjust the lever until the flame is as blue as you can get it.
The stove is constructed of high-quality, powder-coated steel. The grill is made of stainless steel.
All hardware and fasteners, including the latches, pins, utensil hooks etc. are made of 304 stainless steel while the burners are made of cast aluminum.
Thanks to pull handles, quick-fold legs, and 2 rugged wheels, you can bring your camping stove anywhere with ease!
The stove weighs approximately 70 lbs.
The Summerland Stove can withstand a maximum weight of 195 lbs, or 65 lbs on each burner.
At this time, the Summerland Stove is configured for use with propane only.
At this time, a carrying bag for the stove has not been designed. However, it is equipped with wheels and a pull handle for easy transportation. Additionally, the prep lids and windscreen fold into the unit, creating a storage lid.

Greenwood (4-Ft 5-Bins): L 21.75" x W 8" x H 6" & 12 L soil capacity per bin
Fernie (4-Ft 4-Bins): L 21.75" x W 8" x H 6" & 12 L soil capacity per bin
Terrace (6-Ft 4-Bins): L 26.5" x W 9.5" x H 8" & 28 L soil capacity per bin
Currently, the bins are available in the colours Espresso Brown; Forest Green; Granite Grey.
The vertical gardens are constructed of a high-quality powder-coated steel, which is a durable outdoor material that is resistant to various weather conditions.
The bins do not include pre-drilled drainage holes but if you wish to add them, we recommend drilling a 5/16" hole approximately 1-1/8" up from the bottom of the bin and front-facing. Alternatively, our unique bottom design provides the option to add a drainage layer by using fillers such as shells, gravel, etc. This creates a small water reservoir below the soil line to help prevent root rot. If left exposed to rain or uncontrolled water levels, we recommend adding holes to ensure adequate drainage.
You are able to grow a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, and flowers in the vertical garden, and can find a detailed list of suggestions in your product manual. For the best results, we recommend reaching out to your local nursery for gardening tips and suggestions, as your bin depth may affect which type of plants are best suited for your garden.
At this time, we do not have an available option for this.
